Summary:
A joint research effort has been conducted by government agencies of Iceland and Norway, for evaluating the hydrocarbon potential of the Jan Mayen Ridge (JNiR), For this purpose seismic reflection surveys were conducted in 1985 and 1988. The JMR is a submarine ridge extending south from the island of Jan Mayen. The depth to the flat top is typically 800- 1000 m.
