Summary:
In our previous work (Gelchinsky et al., 1993) we presented a study from a salt dome by using the "1-D" homeomorphic imaging (HI) techniques such as the common evolute element (CEE) and common reflecting element (CRE). In this paper we introduce an improved multifocusing HI technique applied to the same data and we compare our results with the former HI processing as well as with that of conventional seismic processing. Because the steep dipping fault dome flank is the target for hydrocabon exploration we pay special attention to this region.
