P084 SUB-BASALT IMAGING USING LONG OFFSET DATA IN THE TAU-P DOMAIN Summary 1 We propose a new method to image sub-surface structure from long offset data. The far offset data are particularly useful for sub-basalt imaging. Our method is based on the transformation of the data in the tau-p (intercept time - ray parameter) domain downward continuation in the depth-p domain before finally stacking our results to directly obtain the depth image.
