Summary:
This paper gives an interpretation of a specific type of refracted-diffracted waves. The solution is supported by the good accord of data in seismic and magnetic interpretation. Beyond solving the problem of the phenomenon, the interpretation of such events shows that in the exploration of dykes and intruded formations the refracted-diffracted waves can—under favourable conditions—also render some useful information.
