Summary:
In Malaysia, naturally fractured basement reservoirs around the Malay basin are being explored for additional reserves. Such
reservoirs are targets by new technology tools thus allowing an optimized formation evaluation program. These reservoirs are
more difficult and expensive to be evaluated compared to a conventional reservoir due to its challenging environment. This
paper presents the challenges and results of the formation evaluation program in one of the fractured basement reservoirs.
