In this paper we focus on the 3D modelling and inversion used for analysis of data from a North Sea field trial. The first stage in this process is the comparison of the modelled data generated from a 3D reservoir model built from seismic and well log data with measured data. The reservoir model can then be modified using resistivity information generated by 1D inversion, the modelling is the repeated and a further comparison made. Once the data has been shown to fit the expected resistivity structure reasonably we the data and reservoir model can be refined by first using more detailed 1D inversion and then eventually 3D inversion. For the case study in question we show that the measured data fits well with the expected structure and that the reservoir extents imaged are in good agreement with know lateral extents.
