P171 LOCAL VELOCITY ANALYSIS BY PARAMETRIC WAVENUMBER ESTIMATION IN SEISMIC (FK- MUSIC) KAMBIZ IRANPOUR 1 EVERHARD MUYZERT 2 and SERGIO GRION 3 Abstract 1 In seismic data analysis the generation of high-resolution frequency-wavenumber (fk) spectra using only a small number of sensors is highly desirable and will have wide ranging applications. Such applications include local velocity measurements and the detection of dispersive waves. When relatively few samples are available parametric methods give a superior wavenumber resolution compared to a standard fk-transform. We will show how parametric methods can be adjusted to wavenumber estimation and local velocity estimation in seismic. The
