The present article studies the response of the marine controlled source electromagnetic method, in the presence of two-dimensional structures with electric transverse anisotropy, taking into account the bathymetry of the sea floor. We have created a model using seismic data from the Campos basin, located offshore Brazil. This study will be carried out in two stages. In the first stage, we will evaluate the effects of the bathymetry for a reservoir-less model, in which the sediment is a transversely isotropic medium with a vertical symmetry axis (TIV). In the second stage, we will study the reservoir as a transversely isotropic medium with a tilted axis of symmetry - TTI (TII, in the Spanish expression) and a host sedimentary medium with TIV anisotropy. In both cases, we will show the response of the electromagnetic (EM) field measured inline with the transmitter, as well as the electric field distribution on the xz plane that contains the transmitter. For the electromagnetic modelling, we will utilise the separation of the EM field in the primary and secondary fields, where the primary field is determined by the semi-analytical solution of a stratified model with TIV anisotropy and the secondary field is obtained by the finite elements method.
