Summary:
Erosion of ancient riverbed contributed to develop karst reservoir such as underground river , and also resulted in destruction of oil and gas. Therefore, depth of ancient riverbed detection plays an important role in detection of oil and gas. This paper presented an algorithm which can estimate horizon of ancient riverbed automatically. Firstly, we set seed guided by seismic wave of ancient riverbed. Then, horizon of ancient riverbed can be detected automatically on the basis of estimation of coherency and dip of seismic event of riverbed. Meanwhile, edge of riverbeds can be detected through multi-window scanning. Horizon of ancient riverbed can be detected automatically and then erosion depth of riverbed can be estimated eventually. Practical application in carbonate oilfield shows that this algorithm is robust which can contributes to deposit wells of oil and gas.
