Summary:
For wave simulation in the TTI media with complex fluctuation of reflectors and the Earth surface, body-fitted gridding is used to partition the subsurface model. These grids are well coincided not only the irregular Earth surface but also the subsurface interfaces. However, it is inevitable that, on either side of an interface, there exists non-orthogonal mesh which would degrade the mesh precision and reduce the accuracy of wave modelling. We adopt the SBP (summation-by-parts) finite-difference method to the acoustic TTI wave equation, so as to implement on non-orthogonal mesh and to achieve desirable accuracy of wave modelling.
