Summary:
The problems discussed concern computer technology of topographic correction evaluation in
gravimetry characterized by complete automation of calculation overall the region and high accuracy of
results. Digital models of terrain, obtained by vectorization of scanned images of topographic maps and map
GTOP030, are used as raw data. Computation algorithms are based on construction of analytical
approximation of terrain relief and topographic correction; besides discrete Fourier transform and point
source functions are applied. Accuracy of terrain correction evaluation is estimated with a method of
stochastic modeling. Examples of solution of some practical problems for Western Urals are given.
