Rock strength properties determination is very important in geomechanical modelling. There are a lot of empirical relations for UCS and FANG determination developed for sandstones worldwide. For accurate prediction of UCS and FANG values for Jurassic formation sandstones in "Urman-Archinsk" oil and gas accumulation zone non-linear multiple regression analysis was conducted. The relations for UCS and FANG utilize 3 geophysical parameters. The results of application of those relations predict rock strength properties better than those which were developed for formations worldwide or particular formations with close petrophysical properties. That is why it is vitally important to develop its own relations for at least each oil and gas accumulation zone for geomechanical modelling.
