Summary:
This paper considers the structure of sedimentary cover of the basins and identifies structural elements of different order. Three petroleum systems are described for Khatyr basin, which differ in their stratigraphic extension, structure and development. In Aleut basin, two potential oil and gas bearing systems confined to Koryak-Aleut and Navarin-Aleut troughs are identified. Presence of prospective features is predicted in Paleogene and Miocene deposits of the basins. Wide spread of gas hydrates in Aleut basin confirmed by seismic data allows speaking of a potential gas hydrate bearing system here. The thickness of gas hydrate stability zone varies from 150 to 600 m.
