The multi-disciplinary aspects involved in the creation of a reservoir model require integration of information from different sources, such as geophysics and geology. The confidence in a prior static model can be increased by ensuring consistency between the geophysical and geological knowledge. Nevertheless, ensuring a correct integration of different sources of information is challenging and inconsistencies are often introduced during the modelling process. In particular, the final static model may not be consistent with the 3D seismic data. Some important challenges lie in the difficulty to accurately simulate 3D seismic data from the model, as well as to assess the similarity with the observed data focusing on the differences of interest. In that respect, we present and apply a methodology which allows testing different concepts and parameters while building a static model and assists in evaluating its pertinence to observed data. Our approach can be integrated in a multi-realizations framework and the results can be used in a co-visualization project. Using the Grane field as a case study, we show how different modelling concepts and parameters can be tested and evaluated using the proposed tool.
