Summary:
The North Sea has given birth to more exploration geo-creativity per square kilometre than any other super-basin on the planet. This is due to the abundance of a widely distributed world class source rock that can charge a number of porosity systems deposited through a mainly complete section over the last 400 million years, each of which has a number of depositional manifestations, which are associated with an even wider number of trap and seals.
