Summary:
In this paper, we propose a wavelet calculation method based on source wavefield reconstruction theory and apply to 3D full waveform inversion. This method simulates the inverse process of the wave propagation along the surface. We solve the wave equation again with direct waves as boundary conditions and take time series at the source point as the new wavelet. The direct waves are chosen at near offsets, which can avoid the interference such as refraction wave, reflection wave and diving wave. The method has an advantage of less dependence on the initial model because we only use the velocity and direct waves at the surface. For tests, we select the 3D SEG/EAGE overthrust model and the actual data of a work area which validate the feasibility and applicability of the proposed method.
