In this study, a fully coupled model of poro-elastic is solved using Isogeometric spectral element analysis to study and investigate the behavior of a wellbore. Afterward, the couple of 50 mm synthetics sand-cement samples are applied in laboratory experiments. The sample resembles to a real one taken from a specific reservoir. The in situ stresses and wellbore pressure are applied on the sample in a true triaxial stress cell (TTSC). In the laboratory tests, the temperatures are controlled and strains are measured with respect to time. Comparing the simulation results with the experimental data indicates that the simulation model can appropriately simulate the distribution of stresses with a very good accuracy.
