Summary:
The results of numerical basin modeling for the oil and gas bearing complexes of the basin of the joint zone of the Russian platform and the Urals are shown. Numerical basin modeling is an effective technology for forecasting oil and gas potential. Within the junction zone of the Russian Platform and the Urals, four generation-accumulation hydrocarbon systems were modeled, corresponding to the four oil and gas complexes - the Lower Devonian-French, French-Tourneus, Viseisk-Bashkir and Lower Permian, which allowed a reliable forecast of oil and gas potential.
