Summary:
Roasting pyrite process for synthesizing sulphuric acid, left as by-product ashes. “El Hondon” area has several ponds full of these wastes. This study is focused on assessing volumetrically the ashes storage employing electrical resistivity tomography. High/low resistivity values can be contrasted to obtain different layers of material and thus the geometry and volume can be calculated.
