Summary:
DEA has created detailed play fairway maps for the Norwegian Barents Sea before the 23rd and 24th Licensing Rounds and updated these using the new results from recently drilled exploration wells. This process identified the common risks and favorable factors, and lead to a better understanding of the prospectivity of each area. After 120 wells drilled, the Realgrunnen Play still represents the most significant play in the Norwegian Barents Sea regarding both the number of undrilled structures and Yet-to-Find resources, and our play mapping has helped to evaluate the play risks in different areas.
