It is a big challenge to estimate wavelet directly from the non-stationary depth-domain seismic data. Instead of estimating the non-stationary wavelet directly in depth domain, the stationary wavelet can easily be estimated in the constant-velocity depth domain. However, it is still not an easy job for the large sampling number of depth-domain data. Here, we present a wavelet estimation method, which has high computational efficiency and robustness, by using the Tukey norm. The proposed method is tested and verified by using both synthetic data and filed data.
