In this study, combined analyses of hopanoids, humification degree, TOC and C/N ratios were carried out on the SZY peat deposit. Based on multiple proxies, local hydrological changes from 13.1 to 2.5 ka were reconstructed. We further compared our reconstruction with other Holocene paleoclimate records from eastern China and finally explore the possible mechanisms for the hydrological changes in Southeast China during the Holocene.
